creativity THROUGHOUT

“My Creativity flows through everything I do daily”

I have been creative since as far back as I can remember, drawing every day as a child and in a constant state of needing to find a creative outlet.  I have never moved too far away from these creative roots regardless of where my professional career in Advertising and Media has taken me.

I have spent over 15 Years helping Brands advertise, my true passion remains in the purest sense of being creative and producing artworks, designs, and pictures from my innate desire to create and produce, influenced by the world around me from popular culture to everyday life.

My work

Artist

Originally a watercolour and oil-based artist, I now work more with Acrylics and Acrylic mediums providing speed and versatility of work to produce a range of traditional and contemporary works.

Designer

I produce simple graphic prints, patterns for materials, products, and furnishing through to clothing,
I love designing and I am constantly exploring how my designs can live and breathe in new ways and products.

Photographer

Self taught through the needs of my design work, I now find myself compelled to capture more of everyday life, finding beautiful and compelling stories in everyday images. Whether through my SLR Camera or iPhone.

unrestricted outcomes

“Some people are critical of Artists and Designers who don’t specialise. I constantly explore new mediums, formats, and outcomes to fuel my creative growth and development  – no apologies here”.

Throughout my childhood and now adulthood, I have been fuelled by inspiration that never found a single source of outcome. Sometimes it was a drawing, others a painting, a simple graphic design or a single verse of a poem.

All were outlets to satisfy the need to produce something from nothing, to create for me with no desire to please anyone in particular. But in every creative, there is still some validation that your audience provides which spurs you on to produce more. I appreciate this validation more with age and how it enhances the fit between my own creativity and the needs of those who appreciate my work.’

Traditional

I love traditional mediums and forms of Art, and Design, the feel of pencil or pen on paper or controlled paint on a canvas is the ultimate open expression and feeling of creative freedom.

Digital

I believe in progress and have always loved how technology has disrupted (and enhanced) the creative process. I try to embody this is my work. And Digital work features increasingly in my portfolio.
